I liked the book enough to rate the book! I read so much Good science fiction and read for hours that I don’t take the time to rate the books!I saw this book advertised and enjoyed it a great deal! Unfortunately I read in book 3, I am going to now buy books 1,2,4 and5. I am 79, but have been a fan of science fiction since age 8! Earlier Sci Fi was really a lot of wishful thought! Today we can understand better based Sci Fi to science! Try reading Author James Blish years ago! Well, I wander in my thoughts now! I attended The University of
Chicago in Physics and worked wish Dr Allison on the Fermi Bubble chamber to view capture of I believe the muon capture —than got Masters in Physics, matimatics and Economics. At IIT in graduate school!
I recommend that these books are very good, but if you buy book 3, set aside for book 1. But—its great to read it out of sequence!
I liked the book, and as you can tell, this author will be followed by me for my remaining days on earth!

Honor Thy Enemy Galactic Alliance Book 3 eBook Doug Farren Reviews
Doug did a great job with this book. The character development was well done. This discussion around the philosophy of “honor” while brief was also good. All in all a really enjoyable read.
This is the 3rd book in this series. Each book just gets better and better. Very difficult to put this book down. Not only does this series bring you into the story as the hero, it also carries a moral lesson that keeps you thinking long after you've finished the book. Makes you hope that you can be this hero when all are calling for revenge. A great read for any Star Trek fan!
Excellent read! Finishes off book two with an awesome ending. I'm not going to ruin it for you, no spoiler alert here. All I'm saying is read it. You won't be disappointed. This is some of the best science fiction writing I've read in quite a while. You should definitely drop the author an email when you are finished. His email is in the back of the book. He appreciates hearing from you and you'll appreciate the response. 5 stars Mr. Farren. BRAVO!!!
This final review, of course, is for the trilogy as well as the last book. I upgraded it from the previous ratings because I think that a consistent good read throughout the whole trilogy deserves an extra star. If you enjoyed the first two ( Galactic Alliance (Book 1) - Translight! and Galactic Alliance ( Book 2) - Chroniech!, then you really ought to get this one.
This one has some interesting plot twists, plus some more development of the protagonist as well as adding some more dimension to the cultures involved, and it all adds up to making the book pretty engaging and interesting to read.
An outstanding ending to what I assume was the end of the GA trilogy. I really loved how some of the most difficult parts of putting a plan in motion can change the outcome of a entire galaxy at war. Doug keep up the good work. I'm sure your busy writing more for the series of GA. I'll be purchasing them as fast as you can get them published and out the door (I'm a GA junkie). If you ever get the chance how about a short story on understanding the Kyrra. Book 2 goes over the basic of how they came to be, but i would love to read more into their life style (seem's very interesting on how such a evolved species can avoid conflict as they do).
This is the third in a SF series entitled "The Galactic Alliance." It is not a stand alone book. It should be read after the first two books in this series. The first two being "Translight" and "Chroniech." I am not sure what the author intends but it feels like the conclusion of a trilogy.
Do not be put off by the absolutely atrocious cover art. (This is especially true of the first two books, "Honor Thy Enemy isn't as bad.)If I had seen the first two in the book store (and my somewhat suspect memory seems to recall I did) I would not have looked further. But as they were the right kind of price for experimentation with a , I bought them. I'm glad I did. It speaks of a believable far future with engaging lead characters. Its a fun read for anyone with a SF bent.
The Chroniech are back and looking for a rematch. This is the third in the series and has the same light elements as the other two superficial characters, rapidly acquired and applied technology usually attributed to one individual and a type of deus ex machina ending. The strengths are some of the descriptions of the nature and effect of the weapons like the Harrington series by Weber. But the battles are so large and the outcome (in most cases) pre determined, that it seems like an extraneous detail. The battle might involve hundreds if not thousands of ships and the details of some small number of ships in the group being destroyed by a specific weapon system is interesting but ultimately irrelevant. It is like reading how a few soldiers died in a company level conflict (but without the emotional impact) Although the author does give some delay to putting new weapons systems into place in the middle of a war, when you take into account that this will span light years, different planets and cultures, the speed is still excessive. I found myself reading quickly through this to see how it would end rather than enjoying the details.
